Reimagining Materials with Microbial Innovation

Revolutionizing materials with microbes

At SpadXTech, we are tackling pollution at the source from the raw materials, targeting plastic waste in textiles and harmful emissions from traditional manufacturing. By harnessing the power of microbes to build materials from the microscopic level up, we’re reimagining how the world makes things.

From leather alternatives to insulation, our biomanufactured materials replace petrochemical-based products with sustainable, high-performance solutions. As the bioeconomy grows toward a projected $30 trillion valuation by 2045, we are building on this momentum to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Transforming materials with the power of microbes

At SpadXTech, we are leveraging microbes to grow materials that can replace plastics across industries. Our biomanufactured platform is incredibly versatile. Our materials are strong enough to stand in for leather, lightweight enough for insulation, and adaptable for a range of consumer and industrial applications.

By targeting pollution from plastic-laden textiles and petrochemical manufacturing, we’re creating sustainable, high-performance alternatives that meet the growing demand for planet-friendly solutions. We offer our materials in three structural forms to suit different applications. These structural forms are: fabrics, foams and films. Read more about them below.

Our material stands out
for its incredible versatility

Fabrics
Our material can behave as a plastic-free alternative for fabrics, making it ideal for fashion and performance wear without compromising on sustainability or function. The material is naturally lightweight, and durable, perfect for everyday use or specialty applications. It can be dyed, sewn, and finished like conventional textiles, making it easy to integrate into existing supply chains. By replacing petroleum-based fibers, we’re helping reduce microplastic pollution at the source.
Foams
Our material can also be produced in a foam-like structure, making it an ideal candidate for insulation and cushioning applications. Its lightweight and porous architecture provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation without relying on petrochemicals. Unlike conventional foams, our material is biodegradable and free from toxic additives. It can be tailored for use in construction, packaging, or protective gear where both performance and sustainability matter. This approach not only replaces plastic-based foams but also helps reduce emissions and landfill waste.
Films
Our material can also be processed into thin, flexible films suitable for a wide range of applications. These films offer a sustainable alternative to petroleum-based plastics used in packaging, laminates, and coatings. They are strong, lightweight, and can be engineered for breathability, transparency, or barrier properties depending on the need. The films are compostable and made without harmful additives, aligning with growing demand for eco-conscious packaging solutions. By replacing traditional plastic films, we intend to reduce waste and support a circular materials economy.
